meeting demands + making appearances

Top: Rampage (found on sale at Marshalls), Trousers: I made in class last fall semester (as shown on my old blog here and completed here), Shoes: Steve Madden c/o my bff Valerie, Bag: DIY Raven

First things first, thank you all SO much for the well wishes on my new endeavor!! It’s going to be a serious effort pumping out bag stock, packing my life, studying before training (YES there is a test on the first day!), and tying up all loose ends before I embark on my new adventure. But it’s all so worth it. I get your emails and tweets – until training day 1 begins, the bag-making must go on!!

So I heard you ladies. Leopard was the MOST requested print/fabric for new bags stock.

Next most requested was bright colors. And as most Fashionistas do agree – bigger is better. I fell madly in love with this orange. Doesn’t it just brighten up your day?

Ok admittedly I kinda cheated on this request. It’s more stripes of color than color-blocking I suppose, but I digs the color scheme. And notice it’s a small carry-all…er carry-some. It’s a bit smaller than your average magazine, but excellent for days you plan to travel light or just need a cute bag for your bigger bag. The options are indeed endless!

These new bags will be available for purchase in the shop this Saturday.

And last but not least, DIY Raven bags will be available at a boutique space within theĀ Modern Beauty shop and lounge, andĀ presented by Westheimer Is Love in Houston!! What makes this spot unique is on Thursdays it’s open to accommodate the nearby bar/late dinner crowds for late-night shopping. People can browse by for unique local finds – vintage clothing, handmade jewelry, sweet T-shirts by MoonStar Clothing, bags by myself, and other goodies. I’ll be there for the grand opening this Thursday night, May 12.

So join me won’t you?
